Love the colonel! He looks like he should set up a side business selling fried chicken! Just kidding...great looking regiment. I agree with Fergal that the red is very nice and natural looking.

V, I think we need a mini-tutorial on how you created that shade of red :D

Lovely work!
All the colours look great, not just the red.
Nice and subtle, giving a very realistic feel.
The Colonel figure is great, is he Foundry too?

Very nice unit. Well done :)

Yes he is. German infantry officer from the old Foundry TYW range :

The twins sculpted him as a Gustavus Adolphus lookalike and lord knows how many times that head was used for conversion jobs before manufacturers started producing GA personality figures.

I know ! I know ! I know ! :D
Actually, that's cuz I asked Piers about it on the Steve Dean forum and he was kind enough to share his recipe. I'll let him spill the beans as it would be bad form to do it in his stead.

I painted the drummer and the sergeant in that Foundry pack pic, about 11 or 12 years ago, and a dozen or so others from assorted packs in the TYW range, very nice figures to paint, still among the best out there for the period.
