Thanks for looking! :)
Started painting up some of the WG Celts I got last week, mainly as an exercise in tartan and the like, think I'm starting to get the hang of it...
Noticed some mould lines when I was taking the photos, sorry bout that!

Threw together some zombies from spare parts, the skin hasn't photographed too well, it's a kind of manky purple in real life..

Zombie Celts - scary stuff! 8)
Liking that warpaint - might have to borrow one or two ideas from you there... :D
-
Work away mate! :) The living celts were citadel enchanted blue with p3 midlund flesh mixed in for the highlights, and the zombie ones were enchanted blue mixed with scorched brown and chaos black
-
Interested in practicing your painting on some Celtos minis? Minis for you, paintjobs for me?
PM if you have any interest please! I've got a zillion I'll never get done, and your painting looks great!
-
The Zs are great! Fantastic warpaint.
-
Cheers guys! LeadAsbestos, pm'ed you there mate
-
I agree with the consensus, the warpaint is particularly fine on these (and the rest is pretty nice too!).
-
Great conversions and :-* the painting!

Those z's infact look scary :D splendid job!
-
Lovely, like the shields too (no one mentioned the shields ???) :-*
-
Nice. I like teh war paint.
Good work on those Zeds too.
-
realized right now that in the celtic WG box there are exactely the same number of head and bodies. that sucks!
But it is an incentive to swap heads for something different... maybe i'll himitate you! =)
-
Very nice minis! They look great.
-
Lovely job.
There is a very Sláine look to them, which is cool.

I ended up in possession of 80 of those celts, so I'm chopping and changing to keep my sanity more than anything else!
Cheers to the rest of you guys for all the comments, just converted up two more zombies, so once I finish work, I'll br painting em!
-
Great job!! Are the zombie parts Mantic? They sort of look like it...
-
Indeed they are mate!
-
VERY WELL DONE! The wold-work, shields, & tartans look TERRIFIC! I must admit liking the Living Impaired Ones slightly more than their more active Fellows...this probably has something to do with their uniqueness. I hope this is just the beginning of a Horde.
-
Thank you sir! It was only meant to be a small project to start with, but as bloody usual it's now grown to doing a full zombie outbreak in celtic Ireland, with associated mythical creatures popping up (which all have to be scratch built, cos the celts have some funny ideas on what makes up a monster), and a couple of Roman divisions are on the cards to try and stem the undead tide before it reaches the shores of Albion!
-
Sounds like a damn fine plan! Keep posting photos!
-
Fab idea, would be perfect for Celtos.
-
Those are awesome figures! What a great job. The flesh tones on the zombies are really effective. Creative!
