Basing a 28mm wagon, help me out, what are we using ????

A friend of mine did his on a steel base he custom cut. I usually make mine out of thicker plastic sheet from a model RR or hobby shop.

I used a piece of 3mm MDF.

I use heavy card stock/poster board. I salvage old boards for pieces & boards & the boxes for materials. Pick them up at 2nd hand stores cheap.

Medium density fibreboard.  It is that building sheet manufactured from wood ships and sawdust, bonded with glue and resin. Not sure what it is called in the US.

The US term is MDF as well. Normally comes in large sheets, 4'x8' is most common, but Home Depot/Lowes/True Value/Ace sometimes carry smaller sheets.

3mm mdf for me as well.
