I bought a few packs of Trent Miniatures last weekend ( Revolting slaves with firearms and 'armes blanches') and contrary to what I was led to believe, they are pretty good. In fact many of the faces are exceptionally good.
Odd thing however is that when I went to check a few websites to see what else was available, the pictures show at least 5 DIFFERENT figures to the eight I got per blister. This probably means that this is a random selection per blister and that there are -many-? more figures available in some of the ranges than previously thought.
Good news of course except that I'll now will have to hunt down the ones I'm missing.
Anyone have any idea how many figures exactly are available in for example the Caribbean range?

I have a few of these myself but I was not aware that there were more variants. You could ask Nick at Northstar. He is a helpful chap.

No idea I'm afriad, but from the figures I've got I think there are about 8 or so poses for each pack, with a series of head varients/minor conversions to make for a larger overall number...

Yes, Nick is indeed a very nice guy. I'll ask him and see what he can do.
It's definitely not just head variants. For example, the three figures in the middle on this picture ( slaves with firearms) are fairly unique poses and were not included in the pack I got. Nothing looking even remotely similar. So that makes at least 11 unique poses for that one pack.

Same for the slaves with 'armes blanches' (although the majority is in fact armed with pointed sticks and clubs)
The figure on the extreme right swinging his saber wasn't in the pack I bought. Could be just the one extra then, but I wouldn't mind buying another pack just to be able to include it in my collection.

Thanks very much for the replies guys!

I just checked my figs and it looks like you are the lucky one. Mine are the same as on the Northstar pictures

Wow, those miniatures look great! I've never heard before of this range how do they compare with old Foundry colonial British an Wargames Factory British?

The Trent stuff is quite good. I just wish they'd come out with releases a bit more regularly.

The Trent Miniatures range was mostly sculpted by my son Matt for Duncan Macfarlane, former editor of WI. At the time Matt was always keen to do more, so you must ask Duncan why the range grew so slowly and rather oddly...

and old glory please

They are a little bigger than Foundry and Old Glory. Sorry , don't have any WF to compare with.

Thanks, I have some Foundry so I can match them with Wargames Factory myself actually ;)
