Title: 15mm Space: 1889 painted samples
Post by: Highlander Studios on July 16, 2011, 04:05:35 AM
I painted up a few samples of the master casts of the 1889 stuff.

Really looking forward to getting some of the Gashantry. The beasts look great, especially for 15mm.

Might I remind the house that a Lee-Metford magazine carbine won't be introduced to British service until 1894, so the cavalry in 1889 will still be armed with Martini-Henry carbines? Or, yknow, laser guns. Or whatever.

And I would like to champion the advantages of anyone with a revolver (a Webley, naturally), having it on a lanyard looped around their neck like the dude on the cover of the Space 1889 rulebook, or this guy (on the left):-

On colours for the gashants, I think this photo from the Shastapsh Chronicles blog looks great:-

so I feel one shouldn't be afraid to experiment with more exotic pigmentation.
