After somewhat of a hiatus I have been back in the saddle and managed to finish my latest Hacienda which will find its place in one of the side streets of my San Antonio De Bejar town.
Its built using my usual method of Foamcore, Polyfilla rendering and balsa wood bits and pieces mounted on 6mm MDF.

The evil governor and his trusted generalisimo discuss their nefarious plans.

But wait, Who is this that listens in on their scheming...

The figures are all Boot Hill Miniatures painted by El Supremo Senor Don Christos De La Bugsda.
More pictures of the whole town can be found here:

Lovely Nick, I especially like the small details like the bench/chair and flowers - really brings the whole set-up to life! 8)
-
Unbelievably awesome! Love the details that bring it to life and the awesome paint work on the building itself.
-
Well done like the rest, but I must say, in this case, the gardening is vastly superior. :D
-
I must say I wouldn't mind living there if it were not for the unwanted intruders. I love the flowers. Are they from a model rail-road supplier?
-
The flowers are by Silflur and are available from Antenociti's Workshop.

Svennn is correct the patio is Wills Scenics and the old Vaquero is one of my sculpts. :)

Estupendo, Seņor Forrajo! :o
A grand little piece, excellently proportioned (big enough to skirmish/brawl in, small enough not to dominate the table), and the execution is again perfect.
-
Wonderfull !
-
Superb. Maybe a bunch of chillies hung from the pergola, to give it local flavour.
-

Malamute, this is the best single of Terrain I've seen in a while! Have you ever considered a tutorial of your simply spectacular white wash technique? I am looking at this masterpiece and I want to play on a table filled with them... I don't own any Wild West figures, but if I were in your area...man, that's all I'd ever paint! Just to be able to play with your buildings.
-
NICE very nice! A resin version would be most welcome - There is a real gap in the market when it comes to nice looking Mexican/old west style adobe buildings.
-
Glad to see you get back to buildin'!
Great stuff, man!
-
Brilliant Nick! :o The flowers give it that extra genius touch! Great painting as well Bugsda. I especially love the General! :-*
-

No, Bugsda painted the figures, I made and painted the building. There is guide to how I painted it on one of the related threads where I have posted similar buildings.
-
Malamute, excuse my confusion please. My brain is mush! Well, praises all around! :)
-
And again an amazing piece of adobe work :-* :-* :-*
Thank you very much for sharing photos of it. The house looks excellent!!!

Wonderful figures there, Nick! Oh, and the buildings not bad either.... :D

Thats it, I'm going to get the burnt umber paint out tonight and correct it, we can't have these sort of mistakes showing up on LAF ;) lol
-
Sloppy craftmanship, that man... The bar code of the balsa lumber has not been sanded off. I am surprised I am the first to notice. ;)
-
Excellent work on that one...mighty nice
-
As usual, bat-shiat awesome! :o

That is not a bar code. They are tally marks for Zorro's conquests.

Actually it's well known that Mexicans measure the height of their children by hoisting them up against the cross beams and then marking the beams accordingly. This household just has a lot of children, that's all.
-
Just caught this for the first time... brilliant stuff Nick! Your buildings are so simple, yet so effective. Top notch! :-*
-
Love the building! Especially like the dark border along the bottom of the walls.
Do you sell the old vaquero that you have sculpted? You know that I have been waiting for your Mexican civilians! :D

Darkoath
I might have one or two lying around. He has never been cast up commercially, as I didnt feel he was good enough to sell. You are welcome to have one, if you order some more figures I'll include one.
The civilians are definitely scheduled for relase, but not until next year as I am concentrating on finishing the Texians this year.
-
I just ordered all three of your Vaquero sets... (well more like a week ago) did you already send them off?
Darkoath

That are all the same height lol
cheers
James

My observations to date would indicate that isn't far from the truth.
-

Darkoath
Yep, they are already on their way to you. I don't have my order book to hand, so can't recall whether it went last week or the beginning of this week.
-
Just got them today! :D They are quite the bomb! :-*
