I´m start to thinking I´m the only member of this forum who hasn´t build his own steamer :?
I bought this ship a few weeks ago. Isn´t really big, and the hull isn´t the most apropiated too, but I think it will look ok whit a bit of work.

I can see this working really well. As nice as the full model is it looks even better stripped down. Keep the updates coming.

Well, is a bit "tiny" to make a tramp steamer. I´m thinking in make something like this:

It is an old steamer docked in Hamburg, northern Germany with a nice history. But more important is, that it looks quite pulpy and colonial to me. Even similar to the steamer on the lake in "AfricanQueen" (though a lot smaller).
I LOVE this grand old dame! There are many pix in the net about this Schaarhörn (oe as a German-style Ersatz for ö ^^) cause she was (or still is) part of the Hamburger-Sail and other festivities.
Hope, the pix will help with some inspiration(s).

Great ship, and very usefull link! I dont have a great Knowledge about ship modelling, and this pictures will be a great reference.
