Title: EM4 rebel
Post by: demi_morgana on 19 July 2011, 07:35:27 AM
Heya,

Last night I finished another brill Copplestone's model: rebel from EM4 range ;D
The thing is a souvenir for good buddy of mine - that's the reason of the base.
It was hard to give away the model - most of my gangers carry short range or melee weapons and this one has autogun :'(

Oh well - next one will end up in my Necromunda gang for sure!

wow, it is a top quality piece!

In my honest opinion, i have to say, the ground texture is not at the level of the miniature and the base: it is ... well, not realistic at all! You should add some finer sand (maybe a bit of plaster powder also) to make it more smooth... Looks like a consentient entity of rubble! lol

Agreed but it's SOOO much more drybrush-friendly ;)

not true! If you make a better mix to add (pva glue as base, as always), then the drybrush is the same way!

Ok - I will give it a try on the next rock-base.
And of course - report back

I have to say that this is a technique that i learned from the guy of Manorhouse, it is not mine!  (He is one of the less professional people i've ever met in this hobby , but he has a lot of experience ;) )

If you have a lake or a river near to you, i suggest the fine river sand instead of the grosser sea one! :)

(you're italian, right? i've seen you in the triplozero forum, if i'm not wrong!)
