Hey there,
I've posted some shots of the gaming table my buddy and I made to my blog:

I'm honestlly not a big fan of 15's but you have a really nice collection. Well painted and thought out. I also enjoyed seeing you scifi 15's. Very cool blog!

Great work!! I love all the trees - it looks like a really fun table to play on!
Care to share any of your building techniques? I'd be curious to know how you put it all together!

Looks great, and a very nice density of terrain!

I noticed on your blog that you use shapeways to custom 3D print some virtual models you've created. I'd be really interested in learning more about that - I'm taking an intensive 3D modelling class in a few weeks - just so I can do what you seem to be doing!
And information you could share would be much appreciated!

Sure... any specific questions you have?

I'm just a little concerned about the resolution.
I've heard horror stories (of the non-entertaining type) about people trying to use this technology for 28mm miniature production. Admittedly, that was a few years ago, so given the rate at things change it may be a non-issue now. I don't know much about it - just that you need to create a texture-free 3D model which you need to be able to convert to an .stl file.
The class I'll be taking is a Maya class, and I think I can convert those files to .stl files.
Have you been pleased with the results you've been getting through Shapeways?

I originally used the white and flexible material, which was just fine, except the resolution for the buttons (which are only 0.2 mm tall) did not come out that well. I have a order with the ultra fine detail, but they are a little backed up right now.
I think it'd work just fine for whatever you're making. I'm very happy with it so far.
