I look forward to seeing more painted figures. The first looks great. I purchased a box a number of months ago, then they went to the great lead pile, and I forgot about them. The only thing I don't like is some of the helmets have netting. Would like to be able to purchase heads with helmet covers or just steel pots. But I plan to use some of them as Army, even if the uniforms are not quite right. I know I wore army stuff in Viet Nam even as a Marine. So did my Dad in the Pacific.
Thanks for the wake up call to get painting them.

Great job so far, I'm painting the same box right now as well. I just primed them and I'm waiting for the mailman to bring me some new paint so I'm in a holding pattern. Can't wait to see more!

*Drool* That looks great. Perhaps a bit yellowish/brownish but that could be the lighting. Have you got any other pics?

Nice work, and the lighting on these pics is so much more better than the first pics. Now the pics do justice to the excelent paintjob you've done.

Your "body count" is coming along nicely. What rules are you going to use, any ideas? Any figures for the Japanese? Would love to see them.

Woopius, lovely figures and a great paint job. With respect to the 1st Squad picture, is that an african-american figure in the middle? The US military was segregated until Trueman changed the policy so the USMC was segregated until executive orders issued in 1941 and 1948, the integration of non-white USMC personnel proceeded in stages from segregated battalions in 1942, to unified training in 1949, and finally full integration in 1960.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Me and a few buddies are playing with the Rules of Engagement ruleset, although Great Escape games hasn't released a ruleset for the Pacific they did put some orders of battle for the Japanese and USMC on their site.
As for the Japanese figures, A buddy of mine is waiting for the Warlord Imperial Japanese Army box which is comming later this month.

Eh no he isnt an african-american, It's just some weathering gone wrong I guess.
*update*
