Title: 1:56 Gear Krieg. First castings
Post by: CompanyB on 04 August 2011, 07:01:59 AM
First casts from JTFM on the General Early Mech.  Outstanding job and Kudos to JTFM!

the General Early is on schedule for Late August/Early Sept release, followed closely by both  the Valkyrie and the Japanese ShiKi.

The Early kit will contain everything you need to make either of the above mechs variants, plus folded legs for travel mode, extended arms and alternate weapons.  We'd suggest using small magnets to allow you to swap out leg modes and weapons for gaming.

Shooting for mid $30's.  It will all depend on the final tally on the metal parts, resins, decals, etc.  But since it's using about the same amount of material as any of our light to medium tanks, $36 or so is a good estimate.

The General Early and the Valkyrie are the first into production, but we've already prototyped additional combat walkers, including the British Cavalier, the Italian LC1/40 and the Japanese Type 38 ShiKi walker. Oh, and a Katzchen APC, an X-7 ATGM launcher set and crew, and some more odds and ends. We'll announce availability dates and more news about these kits and sets going forward.
