I'm looking for inmates for an asylum. I want them in 25 or 28mm. I know west wind has a set but only two are usable for what I want, bound and gagged, not hte ones weilding weapons. I want a few of them and dont want to buy a pack where half of what I want are not going to be used.
its too bad that the Jim Bowen figures are too big, as they could have worked.
any ideas?

RAFM has a lot of mad civilians as parts of the character packs
-
Alex,
thanks. I wil lhave to see if I can find some of them. I just dont want to have to buy a ton of packs to get the few inmates I want though.
-
Is everyone at your asylum bound and gagged, sir? For shame! Are there no experimental drugs that might make them comatose, or drive them into rages? Do none of them run amok as part of their daily exercise? :o
-
Excuse me SIR! We here at the "Yet To Be Named" Asylum take great care with our "Guests". No one here is bound and gagged. Bathrobes and slippers are the usual wear. We provide ample space for them to walk in our garden and provide numerous activities to keep them occupied. We resent the fact you bring such slander on our establishment!
Obviously, the above does not apply to the South Wing, nor the basement. I guess I should include that the tower and main office is also off limits. On second thought, I better say that the carriage house down the over grown path is a bit off limits as well. Speaking of "well", you better stear clear of that also.
other than that we run a fine establishment........
Would you like to make a reservation?

I ran a game at Historicon a few years ago that featured a large English manor house I'd built as a sanatorium - which meant mad men and women (the Foundry Queen Victoria, clearly not Our Dear Queen herself), and zombies in the basement.
Mostly RAFM iand old Grenadier inmates, plus some deluded soul who dressed as a vampire.

Howard,
do you have any pictures?

Anyone who thinks he's Napoleon?

Anyone who thinks he's Napoleon?
not bad, I like the idea!
-
Thats a great idea. Mix in some of the differnet personailites in history for the only slightly crazy inmates. Black tree msakes some good personality types in their Dr. Who range
Thanks!

Your Madhouse sounds marvelous....just the place for my mother in law....I have just had an idea for some inmates as you require

Anyone who thinks he's Napoleon?
The Black Hat Shattered Isles Halfling Napoleon figure might serve...

Prof Hes, you might consider modifying the Blue Moon asylum inmates, removing weapons, swapping heads. I purchased two sets of 'em, and after swaps and mods, ended up with seven good unarmed figures.
-
We have a couple of resin figs from Ramshackle Games www.recreationalconflict.com (http://www.recreationalconflict.com)
that might work for you.
-
Westwind also has a pack of asylum inmates in their vampire wars range which sound like they would suit your purposes.

Reaper, ???, Black Cat, Frothers, Frothers, West Wind, Frothers, West Wind, Victoria Lamb, Frothers, Helldorado.
-
The three Frothers guys are now available through Hasselfree. I think the big guy is actually Black Hat from the Mutants and Madmen line.
-
Was gonna say the hasslefree one, but someone beat me to it, and its followup were he turned into a werewolf and is busting out of the jacket. Both in that picture.
-
Do I spot the man with the hat and dog in that picture! lol Nice collection of extremely well-painted miniatures, I especially love the smashed up door!
-
The unidentified mini (girl in chains) is, as far as I can tell, the Possessed Girl by Masquerade Miniatures: LINK (http://www.masq-mini.com/aid-220-Possessed-Girl.html).
