Hello folks. Have an interest in this period so I bought enough packs to do a platoon aside for this conflict to start with. Please find below some photos of my own impressions of the uniforms worn by both sides. 15 mm is a new scale in painting for me, but I'll leave it up to the good folks to say otherwise.
I'm currently working on utilising the FOW as a guide for the period.
There will be some modifications to the miniatures to allow more flexibility for the platoon. More to follow.

Very nice start into 15mm! :o 8) I am looking forward to see these based!
I have also looked with much interest into this conflict as soon as i noticed the minis.
But decided than to wait until just a bit more is available.
Maybe try also a look into my Back of Beyond rules..

They're a good looking range from what I've seen. Are we going to see you in the guise of 'Tankette Girl' for a time now? :D

Nice work there Helen.

You might consider Peter Pig's Poor Bloody Infantry rules, or possibly even their Spanish Civil War rules. Can't vouch for the SCW, but PBI work quite well (although slightly abstract in some concepts) and use stands of figures, so you can base for FoW if you like. Also, there is a free sample/tester version (PBI quick start):

We use them a lot in our school club, gamers range in age from 10-17 (excluding staff players)

Thanks guys for your kind words.
@Fastolfrus, I do have PP SCW rules and find them acceptable. I agree PBI or any other rule set would work with some modifications to allow for the theme of the period.
Jim, I've always liked tankettes. My favourite tankette would have to be the Type 92 Combat Car upgraded.
Agis, thank you. I'm looking forward in basing them as soon as I figure out what I'm doing! :-)
Cheers guys and thanks again,
Helen

Really nice paint work, Helen!
I came up with some mods for using Force on Force on my blog as I like small level actions. With a platoon for each side they should work well enough with each player running a squad.

Thanks very much. Long time ago. Scale dropped and just working on 28 mm.

Looking good. Love to see well painted 15 mm.

For platoon-level infantry actions, with support elements, including tankettes, playing a part without dominating the game, take a look at 'Chain of Command' with the (free) SCW supplement that can be downloaded from the TFL website - should fit the bill nicely.
