Had seen the second pic before, perhaps even here on LAF, and considered trying to do one but wimped out.

Look forward to seeing your progress.

Look at the "steamboy" range -the smaller of the two "aromoured kinghts" is about the right size I think the ones made by Bandai. I added a top hat from a "Loveless" figure as I had more than a few left over from buying Wild Wild West walker figures on e-bay and looked around for a suitable wagon and forgot about the project !!!!! another idea I had was have a Sedan chair instead.

I'm also looking forward to this.......

I was thinking of making an armoured Hansom Cab pulled by a steam horse. Your idea is much better.

Check out the book "Boilerplate History's mechanical marvel" its a lot cheaper and has some very nice pictures :D but honest I did enjoy the "History" of Boilerplate a mechanical Flashman though the later 19th and 20th century.
Theres also a chapter at the end of the book detailing the work of Frank Reade as well as details of some other mechanical men.
I've dug out at least two of my Steamboy figures and are going to give the Hansom Cab pulled by a SteamMan a go (I think I know where the Eureka Cab is :D).

I saw this advertised and thought it might be a starting point. But I had to look at the price twice. Yes that is Five figures.

Unless someone can prove otherwise, I refuse to belive that he has sold even one of those things. Maddness.
