Title: my Wierd war models
Post by: Engel on 24 August 2011, 04:42:03 PM
I recently painted a Panzer Kampflaüfer from Dust tactics. I don’t play the game but liked the model so much that I had to get it.
And it was a joy to paint.

More pictures of the Pz.KpL can you find on my newly started miniature blog.

That's a cute little piglet you got there (and since "Ferkel" is the same in German, and there is also a naughty connotation, it does work quite nicely in our language, as well)!

Excellent work on the camouflage and the numbering, too.

Really dig the paint job!  Well done.  I like the model too.  Is it 1/56 scale?

Thank you all for the comments.

Darby > I dont know the exact scale of the mecha. If its 1/48 or 1/56 or something else but it works fine for 28mm. The model is from the game Dust tactics. I have not played it but i like some of there models. Well some of them I dont like at all. But I dont need to buy those.  :)

Two British light mechas

My story is that the aircraft company De Havilland won a military contract to produce a light weight mecha that would be able to be droped from the air. They are therefore constructed in aluminium (you can se the silvery color were the paint is damaged), two small jetengines from De Havilland is mounted on the back of the mecha do alow it dropp from air and give it a limited ability do do jumps on the battle field. Its not able to do a regular flying as they lack a large enough gasoline tank.

Yup I bought a box a few years back, very good price and split the surplus with fellow LAFers, some very nice conversions came out of those trades.
