Anybody got any small unit info on the French liberation army after D Day?

I believe they did use them, at least the US equipped units. M1 Garands were still in service with some infantry units in Algeria in the late '50s, despite the mass of domestically produced small arms available by then.

The armament of the french military forces where mainly equipped with US surplus post WWII, for instance the foreign legion etc.
