I'm planning an Alien invasion game for Cold Wars. I want to do a scenario straight out of a 50's cinema matinee, with the aliens advancing on a small rural town and the townfolks fighting back.
The scenery is going to include a barn, silo, corn fields, cows, etc...
The invaders are going to be Brigade games Alien Invaders. For the defenders I want to use a combination of locals. Does anybody have any good ideas for 50's farmers, police and teenagers?

Copplestone's Hillbillies.

Probably the Brigade City Policemen will work, too, if you're not too picky. Alternately you can use the State Troopers and they'll work.
Unfortunately, nobody makes a really nice looking "Atomic Army" looking figures for the era--the kind that look like the plastic soldiers you get in bags of zillions. I guess you could use plain-Jane WW2 infantry, as long as you painted them all in olive drab with shiny black boots.

Pete, got a link for those?

Those Blue Moon manufacturing folks have just released some Hillbillies. (not as nice as Copplestones, but there are 12 of them) :)

State Police Troopers in Campaign Hats 1 (http://www.brigadegames.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=BG-MWP001&Category_Code=BGHMMW&Product_Count=11)
State Police Troopers in Campaign Hats 2 (http://www.brigadegames.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=BG-MWP002&Category_Code=BGHMMW&Product_Count=12) (this pack is less good because it comes with a BAR and Tommy gun)
I'd suggest the Hasslefree Not Scooby Doo figures for the plucky teenagers. Nobody makes bobbysocksers and do-wop boys, nor even your buttoned-down Frank and Joe Hardy types.

You nee some Rock N Roller and Girls in Pettticoat“s and Hot Rods !!!!
