Title: some new models from s&s models, u.k.

hi all
after seeing chris w whet your apetite with his fab paint job on the new armed car passenger figures, you can now buy them along with some other new vehicles and figures:-
they are amed mostly with akm's but some have rpk's and pistols,
first the afghans,

then the white spec ops, european criminal gangs or body guards,

there are 10 assorted in each pack and the african pk has the sunroof rpg gunner as well.
we have more to come including ones in berets and some armed women passengers,
more new figures in the form of what we have called the paramilitary or police type forces,

these have modern body armour and webbing and are armed with modern us weapons, m16a1's and m60 mg's.

the we have these lovely ladies from africa, sold in packs of 8 assorted,

most are carrying the usual loads on thier heads or hands,
then we have 4 cold war classics,
first the typical postwar british gs truck, the bedford rl 4 ton gs,

this is the truck that broke down on the bridge in the film 'the wild geese' and then got shot up,
it also featured in dr who as a unit truck,

a simple resin body and metal wheels.
next up is the russian equivilent a ural 375 gs truck,

again a simple resin body with metal wheels, air filter and bumper,

next up is 2 postwar m113 variants, the m106 107mm mortar carrier,

it comes with 2 fritz helmeted crew figs loading shells, apart from the resin body all the rest including the tracks are in metal,

and finaly the m125 an 81mm mortar carrier, which apart from the size of the mortar isthe same as the m106,

Was going to ask what scale they were till I noticed the gallery links, was getting all excited about a 28mm bedford.

bollocks.... so was I... what I wouldn't give for a decent priced Bedford in 28mm...  :(

Damm! I thought the Bedford was 28 mm too! Sure would like one for my British in Malaya and mercs in the Congo.

although I'd want mine around 1/48 or 1/50 to match my Bedford OB van... I suspect a 28mm one would be closer to 1/56

If I remember rightly S&S work to 1/60 for 28mm at least the snatch lanny's I've got are

hi guys
thanks for the comments, they are indeed all to 20mm scale.
we had looked at doing a 28mm bedford rl, but our 28mm vehicles are quite a bit smaller than 1/48-1/50th models.
you can actualy buy a resin and metal kit of a bedford rl in 1/50th scales, they do pop up on ebay every now and then, but not a cheap model and quite a few parts make it not a very gamer friendly model.
