Title: Hunter Aliens: Now with more pictures!
Post by: CptJake on September 15, 2011, 06:03:56 PM
Several years ago I purchased a bunch of clear resin INAPs from Ainsty.  While digging for something completely not related in my storage building I cam across them over the weekend, and brought them up to the house.   Been wondering what to do with them and did one up as a test.   A green ink/wash and based on a 40mm round base.

The resin was yellowish when I started.  In the process of filing the bottom of the base smooth I broke the figure off at the ankles, very brittle.  The feet seem to be picking up the black from the base, so I will paint the rest of the bottoms of the figure bases a light color before gluing them to the plastic bases.

Very cool!

What police figures are those, by the way?

They are the old Tactical Minis 'Big City PD', now sold by Armorcast:  http://armorcast.com/store/index.php?cPath=116_92&osCsid=cd1dfdcf4cd1ae90c042fcee383c0e27  Great figures, the whole line is fantastic.

I think the hunter looks really good with the wash.  It brings out the details with is still appearing transparent and cloaked.  The little laser/weapon touch of color is nice too just to all a little something to the mini.

My daughter helped me base them last night.  She did the grass and the leaves.

Oh nice, I love them.

Reminds me a lot of my take on the Ainisty INAPs...
