Hello chaps :)
Just a couple of photos of a BoB Chinese farm that I'm doing as a commission at the moment. The roof is still to make for the main building but the rest is just about done.

I'll post some more pictures when it's complete :)

Looking good already so I guess it could only be very nice once finished ;)
-
Very tidy indeed!
Needs chickens :D
-
WOW you have been a busy boy :-* :-* :-*
How do you get the curve into the tiles?
-
Ooh, that is nice :-* :-* :-*
-
Lovely work, James!
And I'll copy it for a build myself ;)
How do you do the tiles on the roof?
-
Excellent work.
Look forward to seeing it finished.
May I ask what material was used for the walls?
Thanks.
-
Thanks very much chaps :)
Questions all together as it makes sense that way.
The walls are from perspex and have brick details etched on to them in parts and the tiles are a cast of a plastic tile sheet I got in Japan a few years ago (unfortunately, no longer available and believe me, I've dragged my wife around as many hobby shops out there as possible :) ).
The cast tile sheet, whilst still a bit soft, is layed in a former made from a rather large piece of ABS tubing and left to go off.
And no, I don't have any chickens lol
cheers

*edit for rather bad spelling and grammar*

It's a beauty!
-
Very nice indeed, James.
Reminds me a bit of one of Grimm's.
:-*
-
Very nice. :)
-
Nice work, as always! I have two questions, though. First, why does the small room not seem to have any doors? Second, what is the ledge in the main room for?
Cheers!
-
WOW! :-*
speechless! :) so simple and so clean! :)
-
Thanks again chaps :)

Aha, there you have me ;D I forgot to put a door in and the ledge is there because the floor sheet just wasn't big enough to cover the whole area lol
Can't get it right all the time :)
cheers
James

Oh, ok, I thought that the ledge might have been for some obscure regional ancestor-worship niche!
Are you going to add doors to the gateway?
-
Very Nice!

Lovely work,

Re Tiles
I have seen modelers use split drinking straws to represent round tiles. There are various sizes of straws so a variety could be possible.
Great work on the farm btw !!

Thanks again chaps :)
No main doors as this is a rather battle weary farm and the drinking straws (or things of that nature) don't really appeal. Just a personal preference :)
cheers

Ooooohh you bugger, you kept this one quiet. :-* ;D
-
I don't think drinking straws would hold up very well given the way terrain gets handled at my house. So thanks for not putting any on this one. ;) :o
I can't wait to take delivery of that wonderful model.

Well, the roof has been added and it's now on it's way :)

Very, very nice. Some lovely detailing; exposed bricks, clutter, damp stains etc. ;D
-
I love it! I want one for my Back of Beyond games!
-
Crisp.
-
Supa-d-dupa!!! very,very nice.
-
Lovely!
-
You're a very lucky man Coggan. You know we expect battle report pictures when you play with it ;)
-
I love what you've done with the place. :-*
-
Love the details Jim :-* :-* :-*
The roof is great.

Lucky, and broke too lol, but WELL worth it. Haven't bought any lead in 6 weeks (and counting) to be able to afford it. As an added bonus, I've also made a huge dent in the lead pile too.
-
Whow, nice work!
-
Lovely work as usual.
Cheers,
Barry

Fantastic really nice work :-*

When I got to work this morning, the package was waiting for me on my desk. As it was VERY securely wrapped, it took a bit to get it open, but what was waiting inside was spectacular. I must say that the photos do not do it justince. :o
The service and communication from Oshiro was outstanding from initial sketches, WIP photos right through the process of mailing. I can't wait to do business with them again.
