Finally made some progress on the Stuart Walkers legs. Now that one is about finished, the other will go pretty fast. The legs are about 7 pieces each when cast...but that will allow you to pose it in a variety of positions.

I need to detail the feet and design another leg set that can use a small set of tracks.
So when all is said and done, the Legs themselves, along with the stuart will be available as a kit... so you can add them to anything you like.
I may opt for the short barrel turret of our Satan flame tank on this for some variety. Looks meaner too.
Should this thing have underside weapon bods? search lights?

Looks great!
Maybe have an M1919 or M2 in a chin turret? Otherwise, a periscope or something like that would be nice to cover the dead angle.

Hmm IMO we need also some manipulator arms under the hull plus the mentioned searchlights.
And maybe the secondary movement system (aka wheels!) at the "heels"?
-
yep, I'll make another set of legs that more closely resembles the ones with the Gear Krieg integrated wheel and track system.
These are sort of the generic ones for just about anything
-
Here's the wheeled leg. The foot has yet to be made.

It is set up so that if you drilled and pinned the joints, you can have the leg transform from travel to walking position. Or just glue in into the pose you want.

That's the way I want them!

Very nice. As said before: I want three of them! 8)

Very nice indeed!!!!
I agree with Agis about the Gear Krieg type legs.
Excellent stuff!

Nice job on the legs - love the folding gear. 8) 8) 8)

Missed this one...
I definitely want at least one of these!

Now I know I've given walkers the once over but I have to admit that the Gear Kreig ones look like something you would see on a Weird War II battlefield.

Isn't that yellow model a Tachikoma from GITS? Where did it came from??
-
This Stuart Walker looks real nice. I wouldn't mind buying one or two. So, when would they be available?
-
Ok after seeing the news of your M8 Scott HMC on Tabletop Gaming News....would the turret for the M8 fit on the walker?
This is looking more and more like a MUST HAVE.
-
The M8 HMC actually uses a new hull, and has a wider turret insert. But I could make it the default size, and have an insert that lets you use the regular turret as well.

That would be cool....then people can use any turret they wanted.
Yeah...Ive been think about these all day. I'm gonna have to get at least one with the gear krieg style legs, and your M8 Scott. I don't know why but its become my fave tank, just ahead of the M3 and M5. Just like that chassis I guess.
Any rough estimate on how much the walkers are gonna cost?
-
Tachikoma, yeah. You can buy 28mm ones here in China Town. About $5 us each, but you don't know which one you get. There are six different ones, and I think you can get random case packs for about $30 or $40 (6)
The Stuart walker, should be available early next year. I'll need to get a count of total interested buyers so I can calculate casting costs. If a lot of them are wanted, price will be cheaper, as I can get them cast with the same folks that do our current products. Fewer units, I need to go to custom small run casting. So, if there is enough interest for about 40 50 50 units, I can probably come in at about $35-$38 a kit.

Works out, with shipping to UK, at approx. £45. Thats less than £6.50 each, is it me or does that seem good value? I don't think it's me!

Any news on these walkers?
-
waiting on locating a short run casting service..which I think I have.
Test run right now on a few vehicles...to see how he does.

For those interested in the Tachikomas. My experience in buying Gashapon is that if you get one of the display cases, you usually get all of the variants.
I was wondering what the size on these were, they look about right. Thanks Company B.
