Hi all,
I've been at LAF about a week and just now have had time to officially introduce myself. I also see lots of familiar names/friends here. I've been wargaming for MANY years and still find myself in the minority, i.e. a female historical gamer. My main interests are late 19th/early 20th century "conflicts", and of course, all things Colonial. I look forward to good postings and shared info from LAF.
Right now, we're gearing up for Colonial Barracks here in New Orleans. I know I'll be seeing some of you there. And thanks for the warm welcome I've received so far from everyone.

Welcome to LAF 8)
I've visited New-Orleans once though it was before Katrina (in the 1990’s IIRC). That's a very nice city with some very friendly people.

Welcome! Are there a lot of gamers in NO?

Welcome! If you're like most of the lady modellers I've met/seen, you'll probably soon show the majority of the guys how it's really done!

"Welcome! Are there a lot of gamers in NO?"
Thanks for the welcome. Yes, there are a lot of gamers in the New Orleans/Gulf Coast area; enough to support the following conventions: Colonial Barracks, Bayou Wars, Heat of Battle, CoastCon, Hubcon, and several "game days" as well.
