Recently put up a few of my favorite 'good guy' warbands on a quickly thrown together blog. Over the next few days I'll add some of the baddies- Orcs, undead, etc, after I get a shipment in from brickforge.

Please note that the blog is read as DocOcks...not DoCocks :P

Excellent. :D

What an intriguing idea 8)
I take it that these are 'custom' lego men/dwarves/elves/gribblies, not off the shelf types?

The figures are all off the shelf but most of the accessories are from custom companies. The humans are made up of Lion Knights and Dragon knights that you can pick up from any toy store. The elves were part of the series 3 minifigs (which are no longer made) and the dwarves are a part of the current series four minifigs that you can still get at walmart/toysrus/target. They've all received 'upgrades' but the base models can all be had if even through eBay.
My favorite custom accessory company is www.brickforge.com but www.brickarms.com is also very popular.

Great Stuff!
There were also a couple of dwarfs in several sets a couple of years ago with different torsi, ect. The slayer could use a mohac, so far I only know of a pink one, though. :?

Yeah. I'd love to give him a mohawk. I've thought about making him one out of sculpy. Or I might try to get one of those series three Mohawks and painting it to match the beard.
And yeah that Shaun of the dead mini is awesome!

Nice to see another person combine their Lego with wargaming. I really like your warbands, and SoBH is a perfect ruleset for Lego wargaming. I invite you to check out my flickr group at www.flickr.com/groups/legowargames/ (http://www.flickr.com/groups/legowargames/).

I'm already a member :). Just haven't put these up on flickr yet. I will soon and add them to the group.

I look forward to seeing these over on Flickr. You were a member....you have just been promoted to 'Moderator' - Congratulations. I love your work. BTW, you don't have to do much as moderator, you just have some more control over what happens on the group.
Please post more Lego stuff here too, we want to promote the world of Lego wargaming. And your warbands and games are PERFECT. - Job well done.

Lol thanks! I just posted somethings there. I'll try to keep the blog and flickr updated. Currently waiting on a shipment from brickforge to update a few warbands and then I'll post the stuff!

When I see cool Lego stuff I wonder why I bother with painting... might as well just slip a weapon into those little hands and get to playing!
I hadn't heard of Brickforge... mindblowing stuff on there.
-
I always thought the BrikWars rules looked like a lot of fun. Would love to try it some day.

Lego certianly has it's advantages. :)
I am personally going to be trying to wargame with both Lego as well as traditional lead/plastic soliders. Not at the same time of course.
-
I feel a strong urge towards trying it, too.... o_o

Fantastic work mate, love it!

Thanks guys. To be honest the customization of legos is the biggest draw. It's fun to swap out weapons, armor, mounts, etc. Plus I suck at painting :)

Updated to include these guys

I was inspired to create these guys after watching the first season of 'Game of Thrones'. I wanted a hybrid Native American/middle eastern/nomad group...and one that I could incorporate a centaur in :D

These look really nice. my favourite would have to be the middle one. Is that a Pirates of the Carrabien head?
-
Luvverly :-*
I'm a sucker for LEGO, grew op with the basic blocks, before minifigs were invented (probably because of Playmobil).
