Thanks! For once, the "printed backdrop" worked out allright in the photograph- it´s a pic I took in 2005 while on vacation at Lake Constance. The other one which I used with the Freikorps a few rounds back went totally dull, but this one´s totally bright and blue.

Agreed! There have been some very imaginative presentations recently and the painting standard seems to be improving too.

The only slight criticism is with the smoke. Not quite right, somehow. Have you tried using "kapok"?
It is available [in the UK at least] from pet shops as hamster bedding, or IIRC from Peter Pig miniatures. I have some somewhere & it works very well as oily vehicle-fire  smoke.

I wanted to use cotton wool, but couldn´t find any - and here I was sure I had a pack hidden somewhere in my stacks o´ supplies, but nooooo...

So, for the one-off occasion, I used the blister padding.
