Pig Iron Productions (http://www.pig-iron-productions.com) has released the System Trooper Command Squad. Heads and backpacks are separate.

Yup ordered mine Thursday, when they arrive they'll be added to my Halo project. :D

Still pushing Si for heavy weapon troopers and pistols drawn just to complete the range, finger's crossed.

They look very nice. I'm a fan of the Pig Iron stuff and your paintjob is great.

I'm hoping for a batch of Shooty poses. Then I'll add in the Command and Sniper sets.

I loved the look of the first batch of troopers.  However, the command models from both releases look stiff and unnatural in their poses.  The first command figs were holding their rifles with one hand from the grip and that didn't look right IMO.

I hope Pig Iron figures this out and gets some better sculpts.  I'll wait to buy some for now.

Depends what you did with the arm you could position to be honest:

Granted the latest pack are pretty static, but still very usable and with some of my custom casts heads, will look the part.

I think they look rather cool actually.

Mind you, I'm not into the Future war thing at the moment, but if I was I would be doing either Pig Iron or Infinity... or maybe both...  o_o

I don't care for the previously releases squad leaders, I agree that the rifle arm is not right.
However, these look fine as a command group, though. They aren't really doing too much, but (IMO) that's okay for command figures.

I like PI minis - not the finest sculpts, no, but lots of character and the helmet choices give a great deal of variety. I've got a couple painted up on the forum somewhere but having just received the command group I thought i'd try a couple of different head-swaps...(I always remove the cast on bases but in this pic the boots still need grinding down)

Nice idea dave, I was going to use of the of GW cadian Sgt heads, (the crew cut and mic/earpiece one).

Have to disagree re: eggbox similarities, they are nice clean uncomplicated sculpts with loads of potential and possible uses, helmet swops make then doubly useful.
