Still need to fix up figures, but they are mostly complete.

Your painting is improving, as you say, just tidy up the bases and maybe a wash or two over the metal to bring it out.

Cheers :) !

Looking good :)

Cheers :) Repainting old figures. I originally used GW before I had belatedly discovered Vallejo.

Could tell you'd moved away from foundation paints..I could make out the details! lol
(only messing, thinned paints help hugely) :D

Looking good, I particularly like your gem work.

Looking great! :)
Especially since figures usually look better in real life than on photos, but that style seems to lend itself well to photography. As you said, some touch-up remains to be done, but the overall look is great. Love the slightly brown-ish tinge to the red, very warm and saturated.

Wow! I like them very much :)

Looking very cool!

Cheers guys! I used brown ink as I want the figures to look dark in the shadows of space hulk.
-

Very kind of you guys! :)
I usually use flesh colour to highlight red. No idea why.

A little thinned badad black wash around the respirator pieces on the helmets wouldn't go a miss bud I reckon.
-
I agree. Thanks for that I never thought about black ink. I would have gone for brown. Cheers!

No probs, tidy up the lightning claws as well and drill the barrels on the storm bolters, just keep it all clean and simple and you won't go wrong.

Me too, it seems to stop red looking all 'pinky' as opposed to white or orangey as opposed to yellow. I guess as 'flesh' is in the orange spectrum it get the best of both worlds. I use 'flesh' colours for highlighting most other colours, unless I want a specific look.
'Flesh' colour is a weird term though; though everyone uses it, my son's skin is real dark mahogany and thats use 'flesh' colour too, but what else can you call it?
