Here's a couple of shots of a first build up of my Russian Super Heavy walker. I've included a 28mm mini to give an idea of scale.
It's an old Robotech kit I picked up on Ebay. I've added a few ejectable fuel tanks and will add more detailing as I go.
I will probably base coat it green and "Whitewash" it for winter camo.

Flamin' 'eck they're getting bigger and bigger. :)
It looks like a giant armoured car with a space ship between the turret and body and legs for wheels. Awesome stuff.

Must admit if it was me I'd get rid of the middle bit and place the turret directly on the main hull. Would make it look more T34-ish.

As I said on the other forum, this looks so great. 8)
I went ahead and got me one of those beasties. I hope you don't mind me stealing all your ideas, but they're so good! :D
I got the "Tequila Gunner" version:

I had though of getting rid of the middle section.... i'll paint it up and have a look. It's not a huge issue as it's only slotted into place and easily removed.
White Knight............ :o Damn! I couldn't find one of those when I was searching......Still I can see how the platforms are attached so i'll have to scratchbuild some!!!!!
Where did you find that beastie????

That looks like it would work. Not sure if it'll work on the platform version and still allow the turret to turn 360° witout hitting anything.

On ebay, from Hong Kong, so it's still waiting to see if nothing goes wrong before it gets here. :?: (fingers crossed. I've seen another one on there now (search for "tequila gunner") but price may be a bit steep (65$ + shipping). Still, it *is* a big set of course and the exchange rate *is* good.
I think it should be relatively easy to scratchbuild the platforms and possibly improve on the original. :)

Regarding the scratchbuilding, there are more pictures of the kit here, including scans of the assembly instructions. Should be of some help.

What browser are you using? All those image thumbnails on the page I posted a link to are basic anchors... can't see any reason why they wouldn't work in a browser.

Internet Explorer 7. I got them to work by copying the shortcut into the address bar, thanks.

I thought that Ring of Red game was going to rock, TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED! Limited interaction, repeating game play and just to agonizing to finish.
