Does anyone know of any waterline models of sharks suitable for 28mm gaming?
I can make dorsal fins out of greenstuff and base those for the fin in the water look, but want a shark (preferably a Great White) breaking out of the water.
Any suggestions?

Steve Barber does one for his Settlement game, it's a bit big for a modern shark because it's a Carcharadon Megaldon but it should be ok for pulp etc.

The toy company Schleich do undersea creatures, I'm sure I've seen a shark. They're usually pretty good models too, and can be repainted easily.
The shark is full body, IIRC, but could be trimmed and based into what you want.
EDIT: Here we go:

I've a few of their dinos in various stages of repainting, so obviously I think they're pretty good. They're fairly cheap, too, which helps.

Early Learning Centre used to do a plastic tube of sea creatures that could be easily (and cheaply) cut down to waterline. Otherwise if you live anywhere near a "Sea Life Centre" they usually have some cheap plastic tubs of them in the gift shop.
We are only about 2 miles from one, so if you have no success PM me (perhaps after 25th) and I'll walk up there to see what they've got in stock this year.

At last, an explanation why Rhyl exists!

There's also these
http://www.tapirback.com/tapirgal/gifts/friends/sharks.htm
Assorted sizes, made of plastic, so you can cut them to the level you wan to have breaking from the water. 2 3/4 to 6 1/2 inch pieces so you can figure out the size you want. $3-$7.

I bought a big bunch of that kind of soft plastic shark models when we visited this place: http://www.fjord-baelt.dk/index.php?lang=en last summer. Hammerheads and something else, no great whites, though - but I could take a pic with a mini if you're interested (I even know where they are, even after moving in the fall, I think I have 20 or 30 or so).
I intend(ed) them for underseas adventures (VSF/Pulp/Modern) on flying bases, but I think they could be easily cut to waterline.
HLBS used to do a Great White in metal (that I have somewhere), but I don't remember who took up that line.

I would never consider making plaster or resin casts of parts of sharks from the Schleich or Pogo range of toys...

That is at least what I (http://never) considered doing from Fiver's, Son of Hammers, humpback whale fro my steamers, subs and sailors. It would be copyright infringement.
