I've finally found a bit of hobby time, for the first time in ages. I decided to build a submarine for the 'Clash of the Aquanauts' game at BLAM next month. Not sure I will get to play as I will will be running a game at the same time for at least part of the day, but decided to build it anyway. Great inspiration for my build from the fantastic creations by Andy and Colin: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=24709.0
Built by the Royal Navy to hunt for the Nautilus, this class of attack submarine is able to use it superior manouverability and small size to swarm its larger prey.

It is smaller than the previous craft that have been built, but I wanted to do something slightly different from what had gone before.
The main body is part of a display stand for a wristwatch that is a handy oval shape. Stuck on the back of this is the lid from a bottle of one of Mrs Overlord's myriad potions! Most of the rest is plastic card, with a couple of metal washers, a small wooden sphere (cut in two) and a metal hatch I had lying around.
I rather enjoyed constructing this and it has become Mrs Overlord's favourite thing I have built! :D

Whatever gave you that idea Doug? ;)
Given that it is tasked with hunting down the Nautilus, you could surmise that its objective is finding Nemo! :D

As others have said, GREAT MODEL, The fellows on this forum who scratchbuild are a real inspiration and source of depression for those of us so unskilled or unimaginative that we could never make that sub. Hope you get into the BLAM game. Watch out for the barracuda :o.

It's the 'big, round, googly eyes', like a little baby's. We all are, but especially women, hardwired to react that way. ;->=
Once again, I've seen similar watch packages, but would never have thought of something this brilliant. Watch me hang my head.

Jogged my memory of one of my early posts:
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=20842.msg268233#msg268233
I did get the fish cut to make a waterline version of just the top third (includes the eyes, but tipped back a bit), but no further. May have to dig it out and try again.
Doug, no, a different Doug; really, we're legion...

Brilliant!

Very inspiring! Well done! 8)

I managed to get the sub finished just in time, along with a torpedo:
