Title: Sasquatch/Yeti/Giant Apemen!
Post by: Wirelizard on October 21, 2011, 10:49:40 PM
A family of big, hairy, no doubt smelly hairy hominids, to terrify explorers with all over the world.

The two big guys (Dad & Uncle Fred) are Pulp Figures, the two smaller ones (Mom on the left, holding someone's skull, and Junior behind, mugging for the camera) are from Uncle Mike. The bases are pennies and milliput, as usual. I painted these alongside a horde of RCW infantry, just for a diversion and a break when painting more damn Russians was getting to me! They might yet get one more round of highlighting just to make some of the hair "pop" a bit more, and the bases need another round of flock, I think. Still, playable as they are, and they're all nice figures.

Better photo when we get some actual bright days around here...

Diversion figures usually are the ones I enjoy doing most.

One big happy family! Nice job...I've got both sets, but they are based differently. Makes me want to 'unify' them as you have done here.

Thanks, Mike, glad you like them. These are all from Trumpeter Salute in Burnaby last April, actually, I picked up the big guys from a fellow LAFer who had them surplus, and the two from you were an impulse purchase right near the end of the weekend.

They do go together well, I thought.

Handling them is a bit odd, though. The resin SA figures weigh basically nothing; the two Pulp Figures guys are solid pewter and weigh one heck of a lot!
