Title: 28mm modular Victorian warehouse
Post by: OSHIROmodels on 30 October 2011, 03:00:37 PM
Well, it's been a while planning but I've finally got the first building finished in a line of modular Victorian buildings that will expand over the next year.

All the parts are there to make a small Victorian warehouse as shown in the piccys below. The parts come already primed (and unassembled) and the tiles are supplied in a sheet.

The quickly painted version is one I did last night to show the detail better.

Obviously the roof can be left off for internal access and the windows/door come as separate to make the painting of them easier.

I do plan on making different windows/doors in the near future so watch this space.

There is a more concise write up on the blog  :)

This is available now but you'll have to mail me as the website will take a while to get sorted.

cheers

JimmyWibble goes for world domination ;D lol ;D

Great model and great concept. Would love to see what four together look like.

You have already said available now and I presume your usual casting resin but as all the others are asking - how much?

Wow, thanks chaps  :)

The material is acrylic and it comes already undercoated and the price is £25 including recorded delivery in the UK. For international chaps, drop me a line.

These are ready to go now, just e-mail me  :)

For future plans there will be more variations on this one, a larger one and then I'll move onto Victorian houses. There will also be different windows/doors along with little extensions.

Please feel free to ask any other questions  :)

cheers

Now that's a lovely pressie!  ;)  :-*  :-*

Good start to a collection I'm looking forward to.

It's a fairly generic building so I can see other uses for it too.

To be fair I have seen a couple of examples of stretcher bond Victorian warehouses (not many mark you) and of course the houses will be in Flemish bond.

That's fantastic, jim. Maybe I've missed reading a post but is that lasercut acrylic?

Good thing htey are ready primed, acrylic is a bit tricky painting.

Yes it is lasered  :) and I know what you mean about painting acrylic, it's an absolute b***h unless it's been primed  lol

Modular timber framed buildings next please  :D

It could be done but it wouldn't look 'real' enough  :? I can certainly look into it though  :)

Bit of threadomancy I'm afraid, but I recently received one of these fabulous kits from Mr Bibbly and would like to post a quick snap of the finished article.  It was a breeze to assemble and paint and has obviously been designed with gaming in mind.  In short, highly recommended!
