Depends on how you stat them. I've played almost-leaderless human "emergency draft" militia with D6/D6 TQ/Morale, Low Confidence, and Poor Supply, and they need about a 10:1 numerical advantage to really worry modestly equipped Regulars. OTOH, you could just as well have them as "deathworld natives" that don't like to take orders and never had formal training, but who still manage D10/D12, High Confidence, and excellent supplies and "hunting" weaponry that could crack power armor. Both are Irregulars, but any GI army type that tackles angry Catachans on their home turf is going to feel like he stuck his face in a blender.
The Greenwood maulers aren't really all that dangerous, although you don't want them reaching melee range. The tikteen are deceptively brutal in any kind of numbers - the Frenzy effect is a shedload of bonuses, and melee troops don't mind lunging forward when "Pinned" one bit. They're one of the few things I've come up with in TW that would actually want to run around in a 10+ figure unit, just so some of them stand a good chance of surviving to frenzy.
