Title: WW2 Polish Infantry
Post by: Helen on November 04, 2011, 09:19:43 PM
I started this project with the officer sometime ago and now I've painted three more Polish soldiers. I'm currently working on the platoon Hq for my platoon. I've given the platoon an extra lmg.

There is always variations of uniforms seen and applied by illustrators, but I wanted mine to look more brownish as illustrated by Volstad. Anyway here they are:

Next up are the platoon sergeant, and the remainder of the platoon Hq.

Thanks for looking,

Helen

Superb stuff as always Helen, as for the uniforms it might have been possible that there were some slight variations in color between uniforms. Both on pictures, in movies and during re-enactment events that I've seen this is quite common. The darker brown look is also one that I favor even though I went for the lighter tone that leans towards khaki for my 15mm army since it was easier and faster to paint.

Thanks Alexander for your comments. I certainly do feel okay with what I've done an I noted how said you would have given Calthan Brown ago too. With a little Beasty Brown added then VGC Khaki mixed as highlight you do get the Khaki variation. Thanks for your assistance and tutorial as a guide.

I'm currently working on the platoon sergeant and dismounted Polish Ulan Officer.

Thanks Phil for your kind words and yes they are BAM. By the way the latest Polish miniatures fit in very well with the previous miniatures.

Cheers,

Helen

Great looking figures.
Polish armies are interesting armies for the early war period.
