Hi all,
The first of the new AZW packs have gone up for pre sale.
Check out either the Empress or Warlord sites for details. ;)

That's really really cool!
Can I just ask why an unmarried zulu should have a grey beard? Isn't he supposed to be young? lol
-
They were allowed to marry by order of the king. Many regiments were not given permission until late 30's early 40's.
However in this chaps case he also had two paper rounds and so aged early ;)

I see... they must be VERY angry!
great miniatures, really! Although the final word will be given when the sprues will be seen, they look great!

I think that was the point lol

I saw the buildings 'in the flesh' the other day and they are excellent. As are the zulu's.

Do the plastic British come with badged sun-helmets? If not, can the plastic heads easily be replaced with metal heads with badged sun-helmets purchased elsewhere from Empress?
I'm asking, because while the Rorke's Drift set looks spectacular, I'm not too interested in painting B/2/24th but may do 2/60th KRRC or 3/60th KRRC.
-
The sun helmets with badges aren't really suitable for the KRRC. Their badge was a dirty great black cross, which bears little resemblance the 'standard' badge on the Empress heads. You'd be better off with a badgeless helmet and making your own green stuff cross to go on it.
-
The preview shots of the British wips didn't have badges on and I doubt they'll get them either. They're generic figures for British Redcoats that've been put into a Rourkes Drift box set.

Great miniatures, saw the sprues in flesh at Crisis. Will probably buy a box or two!
-
Really really want this trying to talk my folks round to buying it for Christmas my dad I think secretly wants it more then me he folded easily lol
Order will be in very soon ;)

Very nice building, good stuff. Hopefully empress and warlord do something for modern/ww2 in such quality.
-
This is.... just another project, I'll have to start after finding a new job.... :'(
Those plastics look fantastic - and the mission, of course, is top notch, simply put! :-*

I'm trying to get some people interested in doing the Portuguese campaigns in Gaza and those Zulus can help a lot.
