some pulp figures painted for a commission, the bases aren't finished as the customer bases them himself to fit the rest of his collection.

Nice work, Bobby is just lovely :-*
Anyway, who makes these models?
-
they're from copplestone castings

I've been waiting for Copplestone to make an Adolphe Sax and a Plastic Bertrand for ages now.
-
Nice I was thinking chips, waffles and Stella A!
-
Obviously I recognise the first two, but who's the chap on the right?
-
Nick Charles and Asta. A Detective and his dog written by Dashell Hammet. But they were American.
Who's the dude in the blue?
-
I was going to ask,"Why is the dog famous, did he bite one of the other two?" :D
Nice figures, well painted.
-

As there are ONLY 3 famous Belgians the one on the right must be Hurcule Poirot after a crash diet! lol
-
Or maybe some of Van Damme's less known roles?
At least I don't remember that one so it must be less known.
-
Hum, thin Poirot with a gun... Quite unorthodox. Now, Can I have that Plastic Bertrand figure too?
-
I assumed it was a young Poirot, but I suppose that Hergé might have drawn the other two while wearing dinner clothes!

Given to him in a flashback eposide when he worked for the Brussels police
-
Yup, thebinman is correct, i think he's young poirot, thats
Why he's got the buttonhole. Quite why he's adventuring
with tintin and snowy will obviously be explained ar some point
:)

Looking forw to that, is a personal project or for some other lucky person?
-
Hi thebinmann,
They're part of a largish commission for a guy in australia,
along with these i'm working through a large batch of
Blacktree Dr. Who figures as well.

So it's Magritte? Or Audrey Hepburn?
I know it's not Eddy Merckx because he's not on a bicycle...

and I think Godfrey of Bouillon's suit was made of chainmail
-
It's not King Leopold, because there are no severed hands around; and its not Georges Simenon because he's not shagging anyone.

I suppose you mean the young guy, and that the recent blockbuster animated movie by Spielberg has answered your question?
I know that Tintin was quite unknown in the US until now - probably just like many other comic book heroes from the Franco-Belgian tradition.
