A small sampling of some of my Necromunda terrain, I had actually assembled these two pieces last year but never got around to painting them. With 10+ tables to fill for this year's Adepticon however, I really needed to get on the ball. I laid down basecoats and some large-pattern weathering with an airbrush. Everything else though is simply drybrushing with a few details picked out on each piece.
Mine Head (this is my wife's favorite piece)

This is great stuff....!!!!
-
Slick! :-*
-
Really nice pieces.Like how you have used some of the Warhammer pieces with the Necromunda bulkheads. They work well together.
-
very cool, i am so stealing that idea thank you :D
-
Hey! That's really cool! That's a great use of the GW stuff. My problem, normally, with people using those parts, is everything tends to look the same, but you've really done something inspiring there!
-
What Andy said!
This is definitely the most creative use of the stock GW building stuff that I've seen in a while.
-
Good combo which fits with some of the illustrations of the underhive 8)
cheers

Great shanty shacks.
I have been thinking of doing something along the same thing.
But as usual I have not got off my lazy butt and start it.
-
I have two full boxes of old Necromunda terrain. I am so stealing these ideas for my Fallout board.
:D
-
Lovely :)
Strangely enough it reminds me of the urban fire range at Singleton... Needs a bit more height though, and barricades. And this is Necromunda, so more walkways are a must! :P

Which one is the Love Shack?
-
Impressive collection of shanties, I've been considering a similar project. Thanks for posting.

This is designed as a stand-alone board for a Necro tournie I'm running so, contrary to every other board, it'll be dense and built-up, rather than tall. Additionally, about 90% of the shanties aren't really Necromunda-specific so can be used in anything from Pulp to Modern to Post-Apoc.
I also have a lot of stand-alone fences/barricades and walkways, which I'll post pics of at some point.
Which one is the Love Shack?
The one with the sign that reads "Stay away fools, cause love rules at the Love Shack" 8)

It should also be set way back in the middle of a field. :D
-
Great job!!!
VERY inspiring!

I'm finally finished with work on the shanty town and wanted to post pics of the finished pieces before painting and small details. I mentioned how they were built in my previous post so I won't re-hash that here.
More info and MUCH more pics here (http://empireofghosts.blogspot.com/2011/11/just-15-scale-miles-to-thelove-shack.html)

They look great.
Like all the bits you put on them.
Can't wait to see them painted.
(So I can steal your ideas.) lol
-
I like the street lamp in the fifth photo :D
Looking forward to seeing the same painting skill on these as on the previous peices :)
cheers

Well, it's not as nice as I wanted it to be but for a few days work (total), I think it makes a fairly nice board. Mostly, I'm frustrated by the fact that the weathered wood tutorial I found online do NOT work the way the author pictured (which is why much of the wooden pieces appear white-washed, rather than weathered).
