The thread about the new Indy movie got me thinking about a certain Professor of Ancient Studies that I put a brush to a few weeks ago:

And ready for action:

All comments and criticisms placed in a packing crate and locked in a warehouse while "top men" work on them.

Excellent, I like what you've done there with the whip and the bag, I'm almost tempted to have a crack at it myself (pun intended).
-
I really have to agree! Excellent idea with the whip and the bag; I have painted this one WITHOUT adding them. The paint job is just as good!!
:)
Now my head keeps hitting the keyboard: 'So obvoius why, just why???' :x

Thanks guys, I'm glad you think the additions work, as they represent the limit of my conversion skills.
That said, the hardest thing about painting him was doing so many different shades of dark brown. It made me crave chocolate.

Not being familiar with the original figure I gather from the replies that you made the whip and bag, if so excellent work. :)
-
I like it a lot, though it does look kind of like Indy if he had been played by Vincent d'Onofrio rather than Harrison Ford. :)
So what is the original figure that was converted? I don't recognise it.
-
It's an Artizan thrilling tales Figure I think. I've got the same one on my workbench too.
-
Nice one Jolly Bob. :) I like everything you have done. I always thought the original figure was missing something and now you have showed me what it was.
I love the painting, everything is spot on, especially the designer stubble :)
-
Thanks again all. :)
Plynkes, I know what you mean, he's a bit fatter than the real Indy. In fact, when I posted him on Frothers, someone said he had Homer Simpson's face.
And he is indeed from Artizan's Thrilling Tales line.

I really like this conversion - simple yet very effective. Love the painting too, you''ve caught that weather beaten look very well.
