Any chance on seeing LAF merchandise someday ?
I'm thinking T-shirt, mug and more importantly an identification badge to recognize other LAFers on conventions.
danny
-
Seconded on the badge............ :D
-
I have a BLAM button and a GLAM beer stein in my possession.
-
Yes, I think one day we’ll see some merchandise stuff for sure.
It’s as usual, so many things to do so little time.
-
a LAF Knuckleduster would be practical (At least in my Environment) lol >:D

True.
BTW : Is there actually an offical LAF logo (except from the banner on top) ?

Shouldn't that be a lead filled boxing glove (that would make for a real lead adventure...) lol

I'm not sure there is, but we do have a community full of artists. Maybe there should be a sculpt/build/paint/draw a LAF icon/logo contest?

I seem to recall someone (Plynkes? Hammers?) doing one with a star once. I think. Maybe I made that up though.

I think some sort of shirt. I know just doing T-Shirts at work with logos and stuff costs about $15.00 CDN based on quantity. Maybe cheaper in another country tho....

Great idea :)

Threadomancy! (better than starting a new identical topic)
But I have to say that I would loooooove to own a coffee mug and a t-shirt with this splendid forum's name on it.
-
I want this.

Oh dear, Hammers is back..
:)
-
Hammers - the unique combination of derailing forum troll AND moderator! lol
-
A LAF coffee mug would indeed be fun.
-
While a badge/mug/tshirt would be more practical, I want Hammers' suggested pith helmet. Glorious! 8)

Indeed :)
-
What about a pith shaped mug/keg?
-
Just for a start I put together a few ideas for a logo.
-
looks good, just like these Che Guevara logos :)
-
I could see this:

go on a black or cream coffee coloured coffee mug

...or a more genteel china tea cup for the more discerning LAFer.............. :-*

Too much time on Facebook and Google+ -> I just tried to 'like' or '+1' your post. The shame... ::)

My girlfriend works in the printing industry (Netherlands) so if you want to know prices for mugs, shirts, ties etc...... gimme a pm Prof.
Nightmask
-
Maybe a light vest. That could be worn over just about anything else. Many of the gamers at the conventions I go to are already wearing the convention T-shirt. A vest would stand out as much or more than a hat or badge.
-
I really like Totleben's logo - not so sure about Hammer's suggestion lol
-
I demand this.

Just the very thing. I would gladly pay $65 for a LAF fez.

No, you did not imagine it. It came up in a discussion about the origins of LAF...
Hammers is wrong, as usual. It began life as a left-wing terrorist painting group in West Germany in the 1970s. They used to bomb and hold up Games Workshop stores at gunpoint...

Originally the letters stood for LEAD ARMY FACTION.
And that ain't no word of a lie. ;)
-
I can not believe that I am saying this...but I totally agree with Hammers! There must be some form of awful retribution waiting for me lol lol

I am, really, a bit of a fezichist (see what I did there?). I think I have about ten fezes in my cupboard. I bring them out whn my mates come over for drinks and a few rounds of canasta. A LAF fez would crown my collection.

This is what came to me when I googled canasta not knowing what it was?!

I see there's a fez all right.. lol

2009, eh? How time flies...
I think perhaps it gives off the wrong connotations, however? ::)

o_o
Well, quite.

It was never intended as a real candidate for a LAF logo, it was a joke.
-
Hey Viking, some of my friends in Vegas do that as part of there show. :D

Which was obvious enough, I would have thought. ::)

(Yes, I was aware of this lol)
If we do have mugs done, we should really have them made out of lead, don't you think? Wouldn't feel right otherwise. ;D
-
What about the medal logo on a mug, thats nice and presumably the merchandise would be supporting the forum.
Like the top banner alot though.
Which reminds me next time I am in paypal funds to donate...
-
I just wanted to bring this up again. I could really use a LAF fez! My grandkids know that grandpa is in a good mood or at least has had enough drinks ;) when the fez comes out. Surely a club such as LAF needs fezzes for when out and about hunting vamps and lycanthropes!

I'm hoping Hammers is wearing the fez in this picture and not the mask
