Hi all,
I've just been given a welcome heads-up by the Tactical Command website boss, Cybershadow: GW have made a download of the FULL Dark Future rules available on the Specialist Games website. It's a big file (26.7Mb), but it's free with official blessing. So.... go for it :)

It's at the very bottom of the page.

Oh great. Just a month after I shelled out on eBay for second-hand edition of the whole game just to get the rulebook.
How come this kind of thing always happens to me?

Because you're a trendsetter, Plynkes. :-)
-
Poor Plynkes. Looks like they'll be posting more soon - punters are saying Gorkamorka, although Man O' War is higher on the wish list.
-
Oh well, never mind. At least I got a new bunch of road sections, which are less warped than the ones I had.
(I already had the game. The reason I needed a new rulebook was that I lent it to some clown and then lost touch with him.)

My friend Andrew is running the first Dark Future tournament next year in Bristol (UK) on the 5/6th April. It was Andrew who nudged Jervis Johnson into putting the files online in the first place :)
It's only £5 entry fee - they mainly want people to come along, have fun and enjoy a bit of Mad Max style gaming...

cant say I have ever played it but I have about a hundred road sections stored somewhere -thought they would come in handy one day but that day is yet to come.

Cool! I've been itching to try this game out ever since I first saw it.
Any idea where I could get some tiles?

My one and only model so far - General Bracket's command car, of the self-styled US 1257th Cav.

California.
Ok, I have to admit I haven't the faintest - a great chap from Cal. sent me the assembled vehicle as part of a package of stuff, and the guns (and a pair of rocket launchers I left out) were glued on. I have no idea what range it's from,. it's a bit of a crude model, a touch lumpy in places, which is why I went for military-turned-dark future-whacko look. Sorry I can;t be of help. Any ideas anyone?
