Next LAM release is coming soon and we're going to play a game again. You know the rules, you try to guess and if you win you'll get the miniature for free.
This time this miniature is ... AND it is accompanied by ... AND by ...
So guess who of LAF members will is the next lead-immortalized one AND who accompanies him. Good Luck!
-
I Try it, Malamute or Hammers?
-
How said it's not enough to guess who. You will have to fill all three blanks :)
This time this miniature is ... AND it is accompanied by ... AND by ...
-
Ok, here goes!
This time this miniature is Hammers AND it is accompanied by a dog AND by a great signpost that says "I made it to 10,000 posts and have this miniature to prove it!"

-
This time this miniature is ...Arlequín AND it is accompanied by ...a Barcelona ladyboy AND by ...a Jesuit padre with a disapproving air and a very heavy cane.
-
This time the miniature is FROGGY THE GREAT and it is accompanied by A TRUSTY RIDING AARDVARK and a STETSON.
I had to try.
-
This time it is Malamute; The Baron Von Carryon ably asisted by his faithfull sidekick the chicken of thunder and his erstwhile vampire VSF robot Bibbly bibbly bibbly :D
-
Captain Blood, with the lead piping, in the billiards room.
No, hold on, I haven't got the hang of this, have I?
-

Now your being silly Hammers, looks nothing like Malamute ;D
-
Ok, maybe zafarelli with driscoles and maybe Karsten ????
-
Surely it's DeafNala accompanied by a post-apocalyptic gun-slinging goblin sidekick and a small but vicious pack of carnivorous mushrooms?
-
Helen accompanied by a tank and a kangaroo??
-
This time this miniature is ...Captain Blood AND it is accompanied by ...A Zombie AND by ...an Orc Pirate
;)
This would be funny, even though it might be a bit "too" true.
-
No winner yet.
But a little help. One of you has already guessed 66% - namely the member and one of his companions :)
-
This time this miniature is Malamute AND it is accompanied by Thunderchicken AND by analgesic cream
lol lol
cheers
James
-
It's got to be Sir Thunder Chicken accompanied by his master terrain makers Malamute & Svenn
-
This time this miniature is ...Malamute AND it is accompanied by ...Zorro AND by ...a pirate
-
Does the person that's being miniaturised know that he/she is someone's muse?
-
But a little help. One of you has already guessed 66% - namely the member and one of his companions :)
Ah ha!
This time this miniature is Hammers AND is accompanied by a dog And is accompanied by a parrot.
I see some sort of adventurer or pirate... :)
-
This time this miniature is ...Arlequín AND it is accompanied by ...a Barcelona ladyboy AND by ...a Jesuit padre with a disapproving air and a very heavy cane.
Common mistake when looking at a Bob Murch female sculpt.
-
Captain Blood accompanied by a zombie and a tricorn hat?
-

Malaga not Barcelona... dumbom ::)
Common mistake when looking at a Bob Murch female sculpt.
:o Et tu Carlos!
Anyway... Driscoles, Zafarelli and Westphalia Chris?
-
Another hint - the companions aren't member of LAF ;)
-
Hammers, a dog and Fiver - Son of Hammers
-
Hammers, a dog and Fiver - Son of Hammers
AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!! :D
Sculpted by Paul Hicks.
-
lol lol Brilliant!
-
When you said 'it' I should have guessed Hammers! doh! lol
Excellent! There's a place for him in my shrine collection.
-
AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!! :D
Sculpted by Paul Hicks.
Well, close enough. :) It's the other progeny, which goes by the moniker Can O' Beer.
Fivers is quite a much bigger boy. He's into that pirate lark, by the way, just like Cptn Blood, malamute, Galland and alll others not quite grown ups yet... ;)
I don't quite know how to express this so in one short sentence: it is quite touching to have ones little boy realized in miniature. And by the great Paul Hicks to. Thanks, Alex.
How *did* you get to there, Svenn?
-
Bloody hell :o thats probably the first thing I have won since the egg and spoon race at primary school ;D
Its a cracking mini too :-*
-
Bloody brillant work from Paul on Peder and son with friend of man. Conrats Alex on commissioning this work on Peder who deserves loads of praise for his contributions to the LAF.
Cheers,
Helen
-
How *did* you get to there, Svenn?
You had to be the prime candidate, the dog was a given and a very cold ten mile walk with my own dogs gave me the time to think of the third protagonist. Alex also said that there was a previous answer 66% correct which sort of confirmed the first two.
-
I have to tell you that I just heard of this yesterday and I hope Alex will show you the photo which he sent to Mr. Hicks. because beyond the photo itself Alex and Paul weaved the 'Man in Grey', the Kennel Club and Fivers/Can O'Beer with me own ugly puss. :)
-
Wonderful mini :o :o :o :o congratulations!!
-
absolutely lovely :-* My Guess was Akula accompanied by Comander Vyper with the Worldstock of Alien APCs o_o
-
Gorgeous :)
-
I'll be getting this one.
-
A great looking figure.
Is that an alien on his chest? lol
Will be picking one up.
-
... and I almost spit my tea all over the work computer.
That's such a lovely model! What a whimsical figure, I love it.
-
Great model :-*
-
Lovely sculpt and suitable compensation for being deprived of a model of the man currently known as 'arlequin and a member of the Catalan transgender community. I reckon Mr Hicks would have cheated and used footage from The Alan Partridge Show as his source anyway.
I think I may buy one of these too.
-

And the drawing I’ve made for Paul. I’m not good at drawing, but that’s maybe good for a laugh.

-
Can we have mounted and dismounted versions please?
-
Most excellent :)
-
Fantastic work, and Hammers resplendant with his bairn carrier is a blinder :D
-
Can we have mounted and dismounted versions please?
So Hammer's ass has caught your attention? :?
-
That is an amazing sculpt and the concept is sheer brilliance.
A great tribute in miniature!
-
Swedens seems to be the first victim of the global warming. And the now use more natural ressources for moving than a car. lol
-
What a lovely sculpt!
(my baby-carrier days are just behind me - mini-Rab #2 is now determinedly walking everywhere - and this gives me a nostalgic smile)
-
(http://i41.tinypic.com/350lxs6.jpg)
Fuck me! I just knew he'd be the dead spit of Arn the Knight Templer lol
Great figure, we've now got enough for an LAF LPL entry 8)
-
Lovely model and a well deserved for Hammer's contribution to the advancement of multilingual swearing. :)
-
Aww, you're all cream and honey, aren't you, rev... lol
-
Sweden is certainly very different to how I imagined it but I'll just put that down to global climate change. The eco friendly transport is comforting.
Arlequin, me lad, you're a fine judge of a man's ass it seems. Even I, a man with nary a summer spent at Bournemouth of Blackpool, can see the nobility of the beast.
On a slightly more serious note I see a whole range of 'Zorba' or even 'Ill Met by Moonlight' figures. Perhaps LAF could donate 10% of each figure sold to bailing out the Greek economy thus saving Mr Sarkozy and Ms Merkel some heartache.
-
Brilliant!
-
Good call and great sculpt by Hicksy
-
Great idea and fantastic sculpt :)
There goes my idea of Senor Malamute and his brushboy Bugsda...............
-
Yeah, Malamute and his pet Bibbly-gimp will have to wait until next time ;)
-
Perhaps a whole round of the next LPL could be devoted to converting and painting this figure in the most offensive or surrealistic way possible? Admittedly half the job has already been done by nature. :D

For LPL 6 I may consider the Hammers figure in some sort of Tolkienesque diorama, perhaps as Tom Bombadil?
Anyway....Cracking mini :)

Another good reason to produce to a mounted version.

De-nosed and ones johnson knocked off, like on a statue of a Roman emperor. That's what happens when ones effigy is raised and the barbarians come. :)
-
Glad you like the sculpt Hammers!.
-
Congrats on the effigy, Peder! I'll have to consider geting the 4 LAF-figs I haven't purchased, yet, and make them into an adventuring party.
Come to think of it, one could write a book-series on the mysteries investigated and adventures experienced by the distinguished Lead Adventurer's Club, based og on games played with the minis lol
I'll NEVER learn to proof-read my posts before hitting the button.... ::)
-
Glad you like the sculpt Hammers!.
It's a beauty, Paul. I am a fan so it's great to see Can O'Beer in miniature. Myself to. Must be very few minis around with a baby in a sling on it.

I'll be the necromancer, with a semi-intelligent tumour on my chest, cursing people right and left.

Total Recall.

There's something similar in Hellboy, the Golden Horde:

You know we had one of those slings when my son was little. It was a little too hot to wear in Brazil and we got really odd and even the occasional hostile look from other people there. One woman even stopped my wife in the street and remonstrated with her about it being unnatural. My daughter wouldn't go for it at all but she's part koala and demands being held appropriately. Oddly enough they seem to have taken off there since.
What I didn't realise is that the 'Baby Bjorn' is actually Swedish. I just assumed it was a daft invented name like Norsca or Haagen Daz, aimed at giving it some Scandinavian lifestyle cred.

Very nicely done.
-
The miniature of Peder is striking, and fun, but whats with the dog? He have two children, and I am quite sure that both are human. But then, I can be wrong.
-
It looks a lovely figure, but I do sort of wish for a mounted version...
-
, but whats with the dog?
Hammers had/has a thing with dogs and miniatures. ;)

Beautiful miniature! I will certainly be ordering it when we order the third wave of Breugelberg figures.
Who makes the one in the post right above mine?
-

Children and Human shouldn't be mixed in the same sentence... they are Xenomorphs, which begin as parasites. They eventually resemble their former host after around twenty five years or so, at which point they are capable of surviving independently of the host... some however do so much later.
