Title: British and Commonwealth Technical Manual Cover and preview pics
Post by: Agis on 26 November 2011, 02:36:36 PM
I am hard at work to get the British Technical Manual release, right now I am in the final proof-reading and layout stage. Some pics of models I use in the book can be seen below...

The British and Commonwealth Technical Manual is again a comprehensive guide to using Armoured Fighting Vehicles and Guns in Victory Decision: World War II.
This book covers over 110 guns and vehicles for your British and Commonwealth forces from all periods of World War II.

Even if I don't bought this volume yet, my red devils received some refresh today as I hope to play them quickly.

I look to the manual preview and I don't see the Cromwell centaur version.
I think it will be a great addition, especially because I have one  :D

So can we hope to have this profile ? My red devils are kind guys, and they really need support.  lol

Thanks a lot.

Centaur is basically a Cromwell with a different (weaker) engine.
Rules-wise there's a table that says which version of Cromwell to use as given version of Centaur.

I like that attitude!  8)

As for your question, a quote from the book will help:
Cruiser Tank Mark VIII Centaur (A27L)
Another Cruiser tank was the Centaur. A parallel development to the Cromwell tanks which was used mostly in training. Nearly 1.000 Centaurs were completed. Many of these were later converted to Cromwell tanks by the installation of the Merlin-engine, and others were converted to specialised roles as dozers and recovery vehicles.
To field Centaurs in Victory Decision: World War II use the following conversion table:
Centaur I        Cromwell I
Centaur III   Cromwell IV, V
Centaur IV   Cromwell VI CS
The Centaur IV saw combat with the Royal Marines Armoured Support Group. The vehicles were fitted with wading gear to get them ashore. The engine inlets were waterproofed and covers were fitted to the guns.
