1/72 plastics for Impetus! My man! :D 8)
I'm about to embark on making a few armies (Polybian Romans, Gauls, and later on some Carthaginians) for Basic Impetus that way, but I'll be uding the narrower base sizes (I know, not quite so good looking, but faster - and time is REALLY a factor these days...)
Nice basing and good use of shield designs!
If you'll allow me one small point of criticism, I think you should thin your paints slightly more - it looks like there's brush-traces, and a bit of graininess, here and there (especially in the white which is, I admit, one of the problematic colours to get nice) - but it might not show as clearly off camera (and an arms length away when at the table).
But an impressive unit, never the less! :)

The paint??? This was due to the new bulb I just swopped for the old one..it was warmer and dried the bloodyy paint out!!!! >:( ....and being a bit lazy..I couldnt be bothere to scrape off the shiled designs and redo :)

Ah, yes, too fast drying paint - I had that happen a couple of times, too lol

Yes, nowadays, if I notice that my paint goes thick during brush-on, I immediately take action: Stop painting, rinse the brush, remove the grainy paint before it dries completely, and then add water to the pot in question before giving it a good shake. Problem with white is, it is almost impossible to get a good coverage, even without thinning - often it it a good idea to base-coat with a ligtht grey, and then paint a couple of thin layers of white - but this is MUCH too time consuming for smaller figures than 28 mm, I think.
As a consequence, I most often undercoat 1/72 plastics with a white spray - that way the use of white paint in the actual painting process can be reduced to next to nothing, and black is much easier to get to cover with a brush - but if you want to paint shading/highlights, its not really a solution. I always just block out colours, and might later apply shading washes.
But I'm looking forward to see your completed Norman army - and if possible some in-action shots :)
I started wargaming with 1/72 Airfix Naps MANY (30 odd) years ago - long before I knew that metal minis of various scales were available, and those little plastic buggers have a special place in my heart. ;D
