Hello nerds.
I am looking for some tabletop rules to have an 8-10 player formula 1 race. I am open to all suggestions. Preferrably rules without shooting. The amount of players and fast action is more important than realism. It could also be Sci-Fi stuff.
Cheers!

This is a great boardgame, good fun and great for loads of players.
Dont know if this is what you are looking for, but check out the review for yourself and decide;

Hi Mason.
Thanks, I am aware of it, but also looking for alternatives. :)

In the mid-90's SDD brought out an F1 game 'Winners Eye View'.
I have the game, but have never got around to actually playing it. ::)
It includes A4 card track sections to build circuits and even a dashboard for each car; monitoring speed, fuel, brakes etc. They did miniatures (possibly around 1:100???) of what were current cars, along with vintage racers. I think you could field a reasonable number of cars. A miniature (or real?) Bernie isn't included!
I haven't had a read of it in a long time, but could dig it out to see if you like. From vague memory it was an attempt at a reasonably accurate portrayal as Steve (of SDD) was/had been a racing instructor, so it might not be what you are after.
It appears the game and cars may still be available from Stronghold Miniatures (Text catalogue only!):

This would actually make for a fun thing to bring for conventions :)
I'll have to follow these thoughts!

Ordered Formula D yesterday. Seems it's the top choice when it comes to racing games. Let's see how that would convert to a tabletop game...
