A few quick pictures of a naked zombie standing on a lawn (yes that's supposed to be a lawn sprinkler...I'm crap at sculpting!).
I'm not really sure if I'm happy with how it's turning out. I decided to give him a darker unhealthy skin tone as I don't like green or normal skinned zombies...I just don't get green zombies, I've never seen a dead body that turned green (black and greyish yes, but never green).
So here's the W.I.P. pictures of Monty the naked Lawn Zombie:

Interesting other people's take on this mini. From his taut skin I had him down as dead a while, went for more dessicated skin tones and dried blood, he didn't look 'fresh' if you know what I mean....
Could probably do with a black/purple/red inkwash(out) on his instestines amd headwound, just to darken him down a bit. Invest in some TCR too, used sparingly, looks great.

I agree with the wash on the wounds to give everything more depth...still have to do that.
Didn't know what TCR was, but after a quick Google I found out what you meant. I've quite a lot about that and I'll surely look into it as a local hobby shop also sells quite a few Tamiya paints and I'm sure I've seen clear red for sale there.

Good stuff, post up when finished.

Thanks, that's I was going for...getting people to laugh and to possibly shock them a bit. The reason to buy this set of zombies from Studio Miniatures, although they also have a lot of other great zombies.

Nice touch with the sprinkler :)

Thanks...the sausage connected to the sprinkler will be removed and replaced with some electrical wire, just looks too big and weird now.

It is interesting, I started my zombies a good few years ago and the flesh recipe changed with time (first batch were cold war when first released around 4-5 years ago)
I tend to use a palid flesh now with a green wash and highlights of bone dead flesh. I agree TCR is spot on for the corpses just to give a bit of gore.
Love the old fella with his "old fella" out!

My skin tones vary in batches from freshly munched to dessicated and all shades between. Haem-mottling worked well on a few, but you can't beat a good purple/green/blue wash over rotting flesh!
;)

I've decided to change the sprinkler as it looked a bit to crude...this time a made one with only wire. I've also changed the hose to electrical wire...maybe a bit too thick, but I also have some thinner wire.
The wounds have also been repainted with TCR and a black ink, but this can't be seen on this photo really clearly because I made a quick photo with flash. Everything looks a bit better now in my opinion.

Decided that the model is finished...he hasn't had any time yet, to mow the lawn.

Personally I think this is the best zombie skintone I've seen for a longtime and I want to know how you paint it :). I just commented your other zombie. I like your style.

Thanks. I'll explain how I do the skin in the other zombie thread.

The sprinkler looks even better now. Way to raise the bar! :D

Thanks, the first one just looked really like blob of badly sculpted GS, it just had to be done differently.
