Title: How to build a gaming mat?

Hello buds,
I'd like to build a 4x6ft (120x180cm) gaming mat for fast gaming. I've seen zuzzy and some other brand but they are pricy and I'm not sure about quality so I'd like to create my own. Any suggestions?
