Drawing my attention to such things a few weeks before Christmas is not helpful.  At all.

Very nice, indeed.

I could be very easily lured into buying these, but I'd like to see who they are supposed to fight against first. Didn't someone say that there was a possibility of some sort of Romanish legionnaire type folks that were being thought about?

Shape shifters could have been more… interesting. But, yeah, these barbarians need an enemy!

Thats right, Roman types, but as you say its best to wait because you never know with Mark :?

Although I couldn't resist the barbarian heroes :)

Just got 3 packs of these today as a little side project. I have to say the level of detail in 15's is incredible. Going to make me a little Conan vs. Something just for fun!

I dunno - they're now on my list!   :D

The mammoth sounds fun and I'm intrigued by the possible Roman style baddies.

Or do I want the 10mm Fantasy stuff...

I was wondering if his 15mm wolves can be used as proto dogs in 28mm, since it is near impossible to get un collared dogs in 28mm or wolves which aren't way too large for my use.

25mm nose to tail, not sure about the height and bulk, these are same as the 10mm ones he makes, perhaps someone has these and can advise you.

Jonas - it seems that the old Vendel mastiffs, available with or without collars, are now being sold by Sgt Major Miniatures: http://sgmm.biz/animals.html (http://sgmm.biz/animals.html)

Ral Partha's wolves are less unrealistically sized than most (the one I just measured stands 13mm high at the shoulder): http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/01035-wolf-pack-7-different-p-1225.html (http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/01035-wolf-pack-7-different-p-1225.html)

Incidentally, thinking of using Copplestone 15mm with 28s, these Snow Trolls might make good Morlocks.

Whoever painted them seems to think so, anyway!

The Hunting dog from the Celtos range is nice, sizewise.

I use him for my Witchhunter.

Also, the Gripping beast ones

Have three of them I'm not using, drop me a line if you're interested ;)

Hi,

Jonas, here's a quick couple of phots - All miniatures from Copplestone Castings - 10/15mm wolves and a 28mm archaeological type.

I've added some of the 15mm packs onto my Christmas list - not really my thing but the sculpts and casting quality look outstanding.

Fabulous. I love these little gems of figures and am going to have to get some.
Jeez - my poor eyes...  ::)

Aren't the barbarians and the Northlanders supposed to fight each other?
I'm assuming the barbarians are Cimmerians (they look like Cimmerians), but who are the 'Northlanders' supposed to be? It's been 30 years since I read the whole Conan saga... Are they Howard's 'Picts'? (Who I seem to recall being more Woodland Indian like?)

Where do Romans come into it? I remember most of the Hyborian civilisations being broadly Medieval (Aquilonia etc) or Arabic / African (Turia / Stygia / Kush etc)...  ???

Answers on a postcard please  :D

Thanks, it looks like they could do the tricks as dogs, I am looking for some to use with my Copplestone cavemen.

I don't know if cavemen had mastiffs, but I was more thinking the likes of wolves or german sheppherds.

I already have a pack of the Ral Partha wolves, I think they are more reasonable sized than most wolves, but still too big.

I had considered the Gripping Beast dogs at some point but have said no to them so far, I will contact if I change my mind. Thanks.
