Hi, thinking of buying these http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=1496&osCsid=9a9ccda0e5aaa848b7d1cd6adabd0e05 and wondered if anyone had any experience with this scale and these minis in particular. Look like a nice cheap option to stage some larger actions.

They're good, but small. The Square http://www.thesquare-wargames.co.uk/ also do that scale and also flags to fit. My choice is http://www.tumblingdiceuk.com/ 1/2400 - I do all my naval ships in this scale as they're a good compromise IMO brtween size and paintability and playability. Hope that helps.

1:3000 is very small. 1:2400 is better - but for me still tooo small. Which bring me to 1:1200 and here the gold standard is Rod Langtons beautiful ships: http://www.rodlangton.com/ If you can own these why look elsewhare?

1/2000th is a good size, and looks fairly nice, unrigged.
Valiant Miniatures sells them, quality is quite good, and they produce a decent selection too.

1/2400 is an option i played with but other than the hallmark ones which look quite nice i couldn't find anymore. The tumbling dice ones say 1/2300 on the site so wasn't sure about them and how much difference that would make ???
