Title: HYDRA WWII soldiers
Post by: abelp01 on 17 December 2011, 10:51:32 AM
Can anyone tell me what the uniform facings of the HYDRA/German soldiers under Red Skulls command? I'd like to paint my BAM PzGdrs as these guys. And yes I know they don't have the HYDRA symbol on their helmets or caps, but they'll do.

If you want to get technical, Skull never commanded HYDRA during WWII but it was rather Baron Von Strucker.  Skull was the HYDRA Supreme Leader but it was all classified with only von Strucker who knew.  Skull didn't command HYDRA until in the 60s and it was incognito.  Now that is old school comics cannon but if you are talking the movie then you can find pics of them online but the traditional HYDRA uniform is below.

HYDRA as in the Cap video game.

Nope, don't want to get technical, just want the FACING COLOR of the standard uniform, you know, the color on the collar, etc. as used by the HYDRA  soldiers in the Captain America: The First Avenger movie. Can anyone else help??

I haven't seen the movie, abelp01, so I don't know if these are what you mean by the "standard uniform", but an image search on Google for "hydra captain america movie" turns up a lot of good reference photos like this.

In your case, for painting standard historics for HYDRA, I would use bright green collars and epillettes with bright yellow trim on an otherwise standard uniform.

FYI - you might want to cross post or move this to the Weird section of the LAF just below the WWII one. You'll likely get a lot more response.
