Finished off my pirate gang :)
-
Very nice indeed - the muted browns tie the gang together well.
-
I love those Black Scorpion pirates, and you have certainly done an excellent job with them!
-
The vibrant green on the parrot is what caught my eye immediately! Really well done!
-
Nice, but I think we're needing some close ups!!
-
Nicely done!
-
Very nice! Ditto on the close ups, I need inspiration for my own project which has fallen to the wayside :-[
-
They look awesome. Making it hard to concentrate on one period at a time haha.
-
The miniatures looks great, but they beg for a better photo. Try to steady the cam with a cheap tripod or similar :)
-
Thanks for the motivating replies. :)
Sorry for the pics. Have to invest in a new camera. I try better next time.
-
I think the camera is alright, the colors come out alright, and you used no flash, which is good as well for clean colors. If you get rid of the blurring, your photos will have the decent quality and you can do your miniatures justice ;)
-
Nice job!
Close ups would be cool!
:)
-
That's a nice looking start. You'll need a few more scurvey dogs as you gain experience.
Arg!

That's what I'm talking about!!!! Lovely!! :o :o
Do you have a full Pirate board to go with them? That building looks nice behind them!
-
Lovely!!!
:)
As mentioned, those buildings look very good too!
-
Thanks for the kind replies :)

Pretty much respectable job on the town. Very atmospheric.
-
Oooohhhhhh!!!! That's really good!! :o
My brother and myself have been struggling to come up with a harbour design/feel that we both like. I can see us stealing inspiration from your great work! Are your buildings scratch built or bought? Care to share any secrets how you make them and are you working to any plans?
-
:o :o
very very nice minis but...WHAT A TERRAIN! :-* :-*
Lovely, something amazing. Any information about how did you create it is really welcome. The same for painting: really atmospheric. How did you do that?
[ready to take notes]
-
Loving that board :-* :-* :-*
The buildings are fantastic. Are they bought or scratch built?
Paint jobs are outstanding as well.
Where did you get the cobble stones from?
-
Holy crap!
I made some Styrofoam buildings a while ago that I was pretty pleased with.
Compared to your buildings they're garbage!
Even the streets, side walks and harbor areas look great.
Those are fantastic. :-* :-*
Nice miniatures too!
-
Wow, these buildings are great. The painting is top notch, very atmospheric.
-
Nice pirates ...and GREAT buildings :o
This town could do well also for 19th century horror scenarios.
Would like to know how you made them! ???
-
Wonderful terrain :-*
-
Thanks for the motivating replies. Really appreciated. :)
All of the terrain is scratchbuild. I'll try to do a tutorial for the next building. Most of the materials that are been used is foam, balsa wood, plaster, foamboard and cardboard.
We also started ou campaign recenlty. Here's the first scenario : The Royal Navy attempts an ambush on a tavern full of pirates. Inside, they have one agent who tried to get some info out of them about some Spanish gold. The pirates will have to escape from the village, while the English will try to capture as many of them for later interogation.

The first escaping pirates confront the navy troops

And gives a hand to Meadows (the one legged man), who has a hard time with the agent

All ways will be blocked for Rendall except the southern road.

Very nice bat rep Thib-o. Thank you for posting it. Looks like a lot of fun.

Great choice of colours for the pirates, as for the buildings, you are a very talented man.
-
It is magnificent :o
The buildings and terrain look european so it is a smugglers scenario, no Caribean pirates ???

Really atmospheric board and lovely buildings! :)
Are you planning on adding more pieces (this is a polite way of writing "give us some wip pics")?
