Hello! Today we can see the first teaser trailer of the next Ridley Scott film, Prometheus. The history is before the Aliens saga.
I hope I like you!

Nice, I assume that this will complete the cycle, like the Planet of the Apes or Star Wars, since the ship from Alien is in it. ;D
-
The trailer don't give away to much I think. Really like the feel I get watching it (3 times in a row now...). I hope it's even better, I have faith in Ridley!
-
Oh hell yes!
-
With any luck, Wizkids will re-release the hard to find Aliens Horror-clix!
-
Me and the Old Man are incredibly excited for this.

A good friend of mine has been going completely ape over this, being the immense Aliens/Predators buff/fan he is. He's been ranting about quick, easy sequels and the death of creativity in the last decades, but this project has kept him going. Now that the trailer is out, he's all bonkers about it. ::) let's hope the film does not disappoint, because I fear for his mental wellbeing if it does... ;)
For the record; it has Scifi, guns, monsters, space ships and Charlise Theron, so it has my stamp of approval thus far... :D

Hell yes.

Not just from an Alien stand point but for Scifi Horror in general I hope Ridley really gets this right.
Over recent years, perhaps even decades there has been a massive lack of good SciFi horror, Pandorum being about the only good one I can think of. Before that you pretty much have to go back to Event Horizon and then back to the Alien series.
-
Ohhh.... Shiny

Linky posted on my club's FB-page :D

Pandorum was a nice try, but a bit of a poirly directed dud. Event horizon blows me away- I cannot find one thing good about it but everyone keeps talking about it like it was a milestone film... Like 30 days of night.
Moon was a really brilliant Crack at sci fi for the money, but this trailer looks pretty much what I was hoping for.intelligent escapism.

There's a nice shot-by-shot synopsis on Reddit about this. (http://imgur.com/a/9uSOO)
It looks REALLY good, nice to see the Space Jockey return to the big screen.
-
I really like those space suits, would love to see them in a mini.
-
This looks much better and more interesting than the Hobbit - judging by the trailer. I hope this won't create weird plotholes or deviate too much from the Alien universe already established. It would be great to learn more about the space jockey and the origin of the Alien parasite. As prequels go I hope it won’t be a rehash like “the Thing 2011” version “prequel”.
I also hope Ridley got his act together after the incredibly awful and utterly embarrassing "Robin Hood" movie. Looks to be an awful lot of action and explosions in the teaser, perhaps it will be more akin to Aliens than the original Alien movie?
Btw, that is what a real trailer should be like, set the mood and show fragments - not give the whole plot away in 3 minutes that most trailers nowadays like to do.

Well said Sir! I gave up on Ridley after that abomination called Kingdom of Heaven. I didn't even bother with Robin Hood. However, his series Prophets of Science Fiction has been fantastic. So, let's hope this rocks.

As a matter of fact...... :o
